Alt. Mondays 007 mirrors the anxious mood we’re all starting the month of May with as we try to practice social distancing after the lockdown has been lifted. If you’re looking for entertainment to escape the increasingly bleak news updates, look no further than our latest curation of songs from artists around the globe. We start on a cautionary note with Poppy’s “Don’t Go Outside”, before moving to the more lightweight theme of relaxation through one of the cuts from Juls’ new EP.
We also have new music from DRB, Maison2500, Reekado Banks, Gorillaz, Tony Allen and Skepta featured on the playlist. These artists’ stories of victory, bravery, family and love will brighten your week and inspire you to stay safe and “Don’t Go Outside”. And If you’re an essential worker and you have to go out, the songs are still deeply catchy, even out of context
